Part art history. Part studio intensive. All creative confidence.
Art Masters is an 18-day tiny art conservatory that brings the world's most iconic artists to life for young artists ready to study famous artists, build a custom sketchbook, explore major art movements, and create one final 9-style masterpiece.
Here, students learn how artists think, experiment, observe, remix, and make work that actually feels like theirs.
Limited Founder’s Cohort: 8 Students

Where Art History Meets Studio Magic.
Art Masters introduces students to famous artists, major art movements, the elements of art and principles of design through a hands-on sketchbook and studio-based learning experience.
Students will study the masters, experiment with professional-style supplies, and create a final masterpiece that blends art history with their own imagination.
Study famous artists without copying them blindly
Recognize major art movements
Use line, color, movement, pattern, emphasis, shape, space, repetition, and contrast
Experiment with gouache, acrylic paint, markers, pens, and mixed media
Build a sketchbook as a creative thinking tool, and work of art in its own right
Talk about their art with more confidence and clarity

A custom-designed sketchbook that becomes each student's personal artist field journal-filled with artist studies, movement notes, style experiments, reflections, and paper doll activites.

Students create one original artwork divided into nine sections, each inspired by different artists or movements. Younger children may opt for the Monster template or choose their own subject!

Best for older students or more independent artists. Portfolio artists choose their own subject and develop a final 9-style artwork, using the movements and artists studied throughout the class.

The founder's Cohort is limited to 8 students so each artist receives personal guidance, feedback and support

I'm an artist, designer, writer, singer/songwriter, poet, creative entrepreneur, and longtime believer that kids are way more brilliant than we usually give them credit for.
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Interior Architecture, and for the past 17+ years, I’ve worked as a brand designer and entrepreneur, helping people turn ideas into full visual worlds. But before, beside, and underneath all of that — I’m an artist in every sense of the word.
I’ve taught art to children ages 2–18, and one thing I know for sure is that young artists do not all need the same lane. Some are ready to run. Some need to wander. Some need a template. Some need permission to ignore the template entirely. That’s why I love a one-room schoolhouse approach: students get to see different skill levels, different ideas, and different ways of making. It gives them room to stretch, slow down, observe, try again, and find their own creative pace.
My teaching style lives somewhere between wonder and fundamentals.
I believe deeply in following a child’s curiosity — the weird questions, the wild color choices, the “what if my monster had seven legs and a crown?” moments. That’s where the magic usually hides.
But I’m also fundamentalist. I believe young artists should learn the rules first: line, shape, color, composition, movement, contrast, all the good bones. Because once they know the rules, they can break them on purpose — with style, confidence, and a little glorious mischief.
My hope with Art Masters is simple: I want to help raise the next generation of originals. Young artists who know the foundations, trust their ideas, and aren’t afraid to make something only they could make.

Art Masters is expected to run July 6–29 on weekdays.
Once I have 8 interested students, I’ll finalize the class format and schedule with families.
Once I’ve locked in 8 interested students, I’ll send a quick parent survey to determine what works best for the group.
Parents will be able to share whether they prefer:
- In-person classes
- Virtual classes
- A hybrid approach
I’ll also survey families to find the time block that works best for the majority.
The goal is to build a schedule that feels doable for families and still gives students enough real studio time to create.
Art Masters includes both learning and making, so students need enough time to study the featured artists, work in their sketchbooks, experiment with materials, and make progress on their final masterpiece without feeling rushed.
Art Masters is designed for young artists ages 8–15.
Students will work within either the Junior Track or Portfolio Track, depending on their age, confidence, and creative independence.
Younger artists will have more templates and guided support. Older or more independent artists will have more freedom to choose their subject and push their final piece further.
Nope. They need curiosity, a serious interest in art, and a little patience.
This class is not about already being “good.” It’s about learning how artists think, how art movements work, how to experiment with materials, and how to build creative confidence one brave little decision at a time.
1. The Art Masters Sketchbook
A custom sketchbook filled with artist studies, movement notes, creative prompts, paper dolls, experiments, and visual research.
2. The 9-Style Masterpiece
One final artwork divided into 9 sections, with each section inspired by a different artist or art movement.
Junior Track students will use a guided monster template as the foundation for their final masterpiece.
Portfolio Track students may choose their own subject, such as a portrait, animal, object, character, flower, or imagined world.
Everyone studies the same artists and movements, but each student’s final artwork will reflect their own level, style, and creative choices.
Students will explore a wide range of artists, art movements, and foundational design concepts throughout the program.
Featured artists include: Leonardo da Vinci, Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Kehinde Wiley, and more.
Students will also learn about major art movements such as the Renaissance, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Pop Art, Contemporary Art, and others.
Along the way, they’ll build a strong understanding of the Elements of Art:
Line
Shape
Form
Color
Value
Texture
Space
And the Principles of Design:
Balance
Contrast
Emphasis
Movement
Pattern
Rhythm
Unity
Variety
Proportion
The goal is not to memorize dusty dates or art trivia. The goal is to understand how artists see the world, how visual ideas are communicated, and how to use those tools to create something original.
Yes. Students will keep their Art Masters Kit, including their custom sketchbook, apron, art supplies, paper dolls, and final artwork.
Is this more like an art class or an art camp?
Art Masters is more like a tiny art conservatory.
It has the creativity and joy of an art camp, but with more depth, structure, and intention. Students will study famous artists, learn foundational art concepts, experiment with materials, and work toward a final project over time.
So yes, it’s fun. But it’s not fluff.
Probably. Respectfully.
Students will be working with paint, markers, pens, and mixed media materials. Aprons are included, but students should wear clothes that can survive a creative incident or two.
A payment plan may be available. Details will be shared once enrollment opens.
To express interest, complete the interest form by clicking on the green button below.
Once 6-8 interested students are confirmed, I’ll send the parent survey and finalize the class format, schedule, and enrollment details.
